About ONHUMAN
ONHUMAN is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. Our goal is to build embodied AI systems that can perceive, reason, and act in the real world. ONHUMAN is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, and this role requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
Team & Role Overview
Our Operations & Supply Chain team is responsible for building the global hardware infrastructure, sourcing strategies, and material pipelines that scale humanoid autonomy. We are looking for a Supply Chain - NPI Planner to design, accelerate, and manage the end-to-end material readiness and production schedules for our next-generation humanoid hardware.
This role focuses on bridging the gap between hardware engineering and full-scale manufacturing—spanning prototype component tracking, bill of materials (BOM) maturity, vendor lead times, and engineering change orders (ECO)—directly impacting the speed at which our newest robot models hit the factory floor.
Responsibilities
Material Architecture & Planning: Design and develop material demand plans, production schedules, and inventory strategies tailored specifically for early-stage prototype and pilot builds.
BOM & Ecosystem Validation: Build structural tracking tools to monitor engineering design maturity, checking every iteration of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for component completeness and sourcing risks.
Cross-Functional Fusion: Advance multimodal communication lines, aligning hardware design, manufacturing engineering, procurement, and quality teams on critical path materials.
Pipeline Capability & Risk Mitigation: Improve supply chain resilience by identifying single-source bottlenecks, long-lead-time subassemblies, and potential component shortages early in the design phase.
Lifecycle Phase-Ins: Work across the product lifecycle, orchestrating seamless transitions from initial engineering design and alpha/beta prototypes to stable, high-volume production lines.
Collaborative Integration: Collaborate closely with hardware engineering, structural dynamics, actuation, and assembly line teams to integrate design changes smoothly without stalling active builds.
Experimental Rigor & Tracking: Design tracking matrices, lead-time experiments, and internal evaluation frameworks to measure vendor performance and optimize material velocity.
Paradigm Development: Contribute to the creation of new, agile supply chain and NPI planning paradigms tailored to the rapid, iterative cycles of frontier humanoid robotics.
Requirements
Advanced NPI Planning Experience: Experience designing and executing NPI planning, master scheduling, or material control pipelines in high-growth tech, hardware, or complex manufacturing industries.
Modern ERP & BOM Understanding: Strong understanding of modern ERP/MRP systems, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, engineering change processes, and tiered hardware bills of materials.
Performance through Innovation: Experience improving time-to-market and build schedules through creative materials expediting, data-driven optimization, and inventory experimentation.
Technical & Analytical Proficiency: High proficiency in advanced data analysis (Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, or specialized supply chain planning suites) and parsing technical engineering documents.
Experimental Rigor: Exceptional organizational rigor, hyper-attention to component numbers and revisions, and the ability to pivot schedules instantly when engineering designs change.
Systems Engineering Skills: Solid process engineering skills with the ability to build reliable, maintainable, and highly visible clear tracking systems for material shortages.
Autonomy & Ambiguity: Ability to operate independently and drive order into highly ambiguous, fast-moving hardware prototyping phases.
Bonus Qualifications
Robotics, Automotive, or Aerospace Background: Experience managing NPI cycles for high-precision, complex electromechanical systems (mechatronics, autonomous vehicles, or advanced drones).
Global Strategic Sourcing: Background working directly with international vendors for custom-machined parts, complex PCBAs, or specialized sensors.
Frontier Hardware Familiarity: Experience working at fast-paced hardware startups, advanced R&D labs, or inside hyper-growth tech engineering manufacturing environments.
Agile Manufacturing Frameworks: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, quick-turn prototyping shop workflows, or rapid component sourcing strategies.
Compensation
The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
